John made his first paid acting appearance in a TV Pilot starring James Brolin right after the Superbowl in 1995. He had two songs in the show and made a brief appearance. John was the lead singer for two regionally successful bands in the 1990s where he performed in several different states in front of thousands of people. He has been invited to sing the national anthem in various events including a political convention in 2008 in front of 5,000 people at the now First Bank Center in Broomfield. John has been doing public speaking since the 1990s. Some of his best known work was for an organization called EFY where he spoke to groups of young people from coast to coast.
